Song lyrics combine a political commentary with a personal reflection. Musically, the song is a simple progression layered up with multiple voicings (I.E. audio tracks).

The commentary portion of the lyrics refers to the frightening attack on Democracy. Broadcast news is now limited to 3-4 stories over a 24 hour period. At the same time, independent news outlets are being censored. A recipe for disaster.

The personal reflection is also about narratives and limits.
